Financial Recovery
Florida is one of only 12 states that enforce a No-Fault Motor Vehicle Law. This means that regardless of who’s at fault in a car accident, insured drivers who sustain injuries can immediately receive treatment because their respective insurance companies will pay for their medical bills. Florida, after all, requires all motorists to buy a $10,000 personal injury protection (PIP) insurance.
Victims can file a claim against negligent drivers, however, if:
- Their injuries meet Florida’s serious injury threshold;
- The total cost of the medical treatment exceeded $10,000; and
- The accident happened four years ago, at most.
The claims process can be tedious. You can also expect the other party to ask for even the smallest of details not only about the accident (they may want to reduce your claims based on comparative negligence law) but also on the treatments you received.

Your Care Health Network understands how critical documentation is for personal injury patients. For this reason, our general internist and physical therapist pay careful attention not only to administering your treatment and overseeing your rehabilitation. They also document the extent of your injuries and entire recovery program diligently.
